Bio:
As a Kentucky native, Ross Cochran played collegiate golf for the University of Kentucky. After a successful college career, Russ turned professional and joined the PGA TOUR in 1979 and was later inducted into the University of Kentucky Hall of Fame in 2018.
Russ was the only left-handed player on the PGA TOUR for nearly the first ten years of his professional career, and to this day he remains one of the only naturally-left-handed professionals to win on the PGA TOUR.
In 1991, Russ won the Centel Western Open and recorded two second-place finishes and one third-place finish. He ended the year tenth on the money list. Today, he has five Champions Tour wins on his resume and continues to compete amongst the world’s best.
Off the course, Russ enjoys spending time with his wife, Jackie, and their four children. His son, Case, and nephew, Rick III, are professional golfers as well.
