Before Chad Campbell had his stretch of successful seasons with wins on the PGA Tour (joined the Tour in 2001), he was in the BUY.COM Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour). However, his exceptional play with 3 wins within one year immediately got him a “battlefield promotion” up to the PGA Tour partway through the season. Prior to 2000, Chad played on the third-tier NGA Hooters Tour (now the Swing Thought Tour) with even more wins. An impressive 13 wins and he was also the leading money winner 3 times.
Although he has yet to win a major, Chad has come close on multiple occasions. Such as the time when he finished runner-up at the 2003 PGA Championship, T2 at the 2009 Masters after losing in a three-way playoff, and T5 at the Open Championship of 2011.
