Born in Esbjerg, Denmark, but raised in Doha, Qatar, Mikkel Mathiesen’s journey in golf has been anything but traditional. Learning and competing largely on his own while his parents lived across the globe, he developed an independent and resilient approach to the game. His path led him to Wright State University, where he became a standout collegiate golfer, earning multiple tournament victories, setting records, and competing in prestigious events such as the U.S. Amateur and the Qatar Masters. Now, Mikkel is taking the next step in his professional career, competing on the Clutch Pro Tour as he continues to chase his dream.

Mikkel’s aspirations extend far beyond college golf, with his sights set on competing in all four major championships and representing Europe in the Ryder Cup. A dedicated competitor, he brings a unique global perspective to the sport, shaped by years of traveling, learning, and growing on his own. Yet, for Mikkel, golf is just one part of a fulfilling life.
