Bio:
As a quiet young girl from Houston, Gurleen did not have many examples or peers in golf that shared her Indian heritage. While she was initially drawn to the sport for its individual aspect, she began to develop rich and meaningful relationships through the game as she grew older. Gurleen found commonalities with her teammates and enjoyed success alongside them as she built an impressive amateur resume for herself. During her time at Baylor, Gurleen was a four-time All-American and became the first player in school history to be named to the U.S. Palmer Cup Team.
Gurleen will join the LPGA Tour in 2024 after an impressive T5 finish at the 2023 Q-Series. As she lives out her dream, she hopes to encourage young Indian girls and other minorities across the globe to follow their passions as well, despite where they’ve come from or what obstacles stand in their way. Years from now, as a fixture in women’s golf, this rising star may very well be the role model that she always longed for to the next generation of golfers around the world.
