After being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the first regular season game of the 2014 season, Steven signed with the Baltimore Ravens practice squad and was elevated to the 53-man roster for the final regular season game and the entire post-season.
Steven Means was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 5th round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the 147th overall selection. Steven played in 48 games at the University of Buffalo, starting in 43 contests for the Bulls. Steven established himself as a disruptive force during the 2010 season, leading the team in tackles for loss (11) and sacks (4.5). Means continued to improve and build upon his accomplishments in 2010, finishing at Buffalo with 186 total tackles, 38 tackles for a loss, and 22 total sacks. Means also contributed 9 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, 15 QB hurries and 5 blocked kicks during his career at Buffalo. His level of productivity earned him a spot on the 2012 All-MAC Second Team Defense. Steven trained for the 2013 NFL Draft at Proformance Sports Training in Buffalo, NY.
